Reviews

The Bioscope (29/Jul/1915):

A Pair of Dummies. — That popular butt, a comic police officer, is badly duped by a couple whose ire he has incurred. Excellently taken scenes, some lively bathing episodes and a very novel scheme, which causes the policeman to rescue a realistic dummy. Rather broad humour throughout, and a film which should prove successful. (September 20th. 655 ft.)

Kinematograph Weekly (29/Jul/1915):

Pair of Dummies, A (Co). — (Bamforth). — Alf and Gertie are pestered by the attentions of Police Constable Piemouth. To get even with him they rig up a rag dummy, which they throw into the water, endeavouring to convince the constable that the lady is drowning. They persuade the constable to effect a rescue, and while he is gone for help, again throw the dummy into the water. The inspector is called. Again an exciting rescue is effected. Released Sept. 20th, length 655 ft.
