Huddersfield Parliamentary Elections.

The Reform Act of 1832 enfranchised Huddersfield, and gave the town one seat in the new House of Commons. The population of the town in 1832 was about 19,000, but the number of persons entitled to vote was between 500 and 600. The number of Parliamentary electors for the year 1936-37 is 84,039.
