  • 20th — The Mayor of Huddersfield lays the foundation stone of the new bridge over the River Colne at Aspley. With a single arch spanning 70 feet, it was designed by Borough Surveyor John H. Abbey and the contractors were Messrs. A. Graham and Sons.
