  • The Huddersfield Canal Bill is read for the third time by Parliament and passed.

  • A bull attacks several people in Huddersfield, killing one and serious injuring another. One man escaped by jumping into a mill dam.

October

  • Death of Mrs. Hannah Houghton, apothecary of Huddersfield.
