  • Attorney at Law Mr. Fenton marries Miss Armitage of Honley, “a young lady of great accomplishments, with a fortune of £5000”.

August

  • William Black, linen draper of Huddersfield, declared bankrupt.
  • Samuel Mortimer, victualler of Huddersfield, declared bankrupt.
  • Robert Holden charged on suspicion of stealing one piece of narrow cloth from Edmund Sykes of Huddersfield.
