September

  • Death of Rev. Daubus, former Vicar of Huddersfield, after suffering a fit whilst dining with Lady Ramsden at Pontefract. The London Evening Post reported that he had been eating an oyster at the time and was aged about 45.

November

  • Death of Francis Murgatroyde, landlord of the George Inn, Huddersfield.
