The following source list was originally available only on paper in one of the West Yorkshire Archive Service offices. It may have been compiled many years ago and could be out of date. It was designed to act as a signpost to records of interest on a particular historical subject, but may relate only to one West Yorkshire district, or be an incomplete list of sources available. Please feel free to add or update with any additional information.

Lee Green National Schools, Folley Road [later Lee Green] was built for girls and infants in 1875 - 1879. The infants department opened in 1876 and the girls department opened in 1879. The school became known as Lee Green Church of England Girls and Infants Schools from c1900. The two schools operated as seperate entities until 1927 when they became Lee Green Church of England First School from 1971 - 1973. The school closed in 1981 and the building was used as a private nursery from 1984.

The first recorded log book entry for the school is dated 1876. Records for this school are held at WYAS Kirlees.
