The following source list was originally available only on paper in one of the West Yorkshire Archive Service offices. It may have been compiled many years ago and could be out of date. It was designed to act as a signpost to records of interest on a particular historical subject, but may relate only to one West Yorkshire district, or be an incomplete list of sources available. Please feel free to add or update with any additional information.

The school opened with an infants and a girls department, these two departments were combined in 1944. In May 1950, the school became Eastthorpe C of E Junior, Girls and Infants School, the senior girls transferred to the new Secondary Modern School at Kitson Hill. The first recorded log books for the school are dated Jan 1875 for the infants department and Jan 18769 for the girls department.

A brief history of the school and general information relating to the church can be found at WYAS Wakefield, collection reference:WRD5
