George Hough Coulton (middle name sometimes given as "Hugh") was the son of the Rev. George Coulton (1844-1896), the second incumbent of Holy Trinity, South Crosland, and later the Vicar of Helme. He was named after the Rev. George Hough (1797-1879), the first incumbent of Holy Trinity.
