Reginald "Reggie" Switz as Winky
Born Reginald Alfred Schwitzguebel, the son of hotel keeper Jules Alfred Schwitzguebel and his wife Elizabeth Wyatt (née Sheridan), he shortened his professional surname to Switz/Schwitz, and then adopted his mother's maiden name (likely prior to the outbreak of WW1) for the remainder of his life.
He starred as "Winky" in a series of short comedy films between 1914 and 1915 for Bamforths of Holmfirth, and is seen here in a frame from the surviving "Winky Causes a Panic" (1914) giving his trademark wink to the audience.
