SUFFRAGETTES AND HUDDERSFIELD ELECTION.
The leading members of the suffragette party are taking an active part in the Huddersfield by-election, and are determined that the Liberal candidate shall not win the seat. Mrs. Martel saying good-bye to Mrs. Pankhurst at Huddersfield Station. The latter is leaving for London.
On the left, Mr. Foster-Fraser, Conservative candidate for Huddersfield. On the right, Mrs. Coates Hansen, of Middlesbrough, a new suffragette recruit, who is taking an active part at Huddersfield. Mr. Foster-Fraser has informed the suffragettes that he is in favour of women who pay taxes having votes, and he will raise the question in Parliament if elected.
