The Competing Clubs hope to field teams from the above mentioned players, but any alterations will be made known before each tie. Members of all competing clubs have been elected honorary members of Huddersfield Old Boys' R.F.C. for Saturday, May 4th, 1946.
Rules
1) The games shall be played in accordance with the laws of the Rugby Union.
2) The Tournament shall be played on the knock-out principle, the Clubs being drawn against one another by lot.
3) The duration of each game, before the final game, will be fifteen minutes, i.e., seven minutes from each goal with a one-minute interval at half-time.
4) In the event of no decision being reached after fifteen minutes play, the teams shall change over and continue playing until one side scores, ends being changed every seven minutes if necessary.
5) The final tie will be played for ten minutes from each goal, with an interval of two minutes at half-time.
6) In the event of a player being injured and unfit to continue playing, no new player may be introduced during the tie then in progress. A new player may, however, take the injured player’s place in succeeding ties.
7) Only one new player may be brought into a team in one day of the Tournament, and then only to replace one unfit to continue playing.
8) The teams will be notified of the order in which the games are to be played, and they must be in the changing room ready to take the field immediately before the game preceding is finished.
9) The Committee reserve the right to disqualify a team not complying with the preceding rule.
10) The Committee reserve the right to give their decision on any other point which may arise in the interpretation of these rules, and this decision shall be final.
The Committee of the Huddersfield Old Boys’ R.F.C. desire to express their thanks to all the visiting Clubs and Referees who have taken part in the competition and all who have assisted in any way towards the success of this effort.
